Resilience

Resilience has been variably defined as the ability to recover quickly from difficulties- toughness, or the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape - elasticity.

While some conform to these definitions, there is burgeoning evidence that resilience can also be viewed from the standpoint of the generation of ecosystemic plasticity, which applied to the lifespan means the shaping of flexible and heuristic methodologies to navigate adversity in all its forms as well as create the milieu for open-ended learning.

The resilience initiative hopes to provide information on the knowledge base of resilience as well as offer the means to train you to appraise, process, overcome and learn from the disturbances that inevitably crop up both inwardly and outwardly, with a focus on the stress of chronic disease.
